BRANDS TO MARKET — MELBOURNE
We stay focused on where your business needs to go, then work out the smartest way to get it there.

Businesses often invest heavily in strategy, identity and packaging and think the job is done.
It's not. It's only just begun.
Customers still need to discover you. Retailers need a reason to range you. Sales teams need the tools to sell you. Your website, social, campaigns and physical experience all need to reinforce why you're worth choosing.
And you need to keep showing up.
The value isn't in having a new brand.
It's in what you do with it.
We don't start by assuming you need a campaign, more social content or another marketing channel.
We start with the goal.
Then we look at the customer. Who are we trying to reach? What matters to them? What don't we know? Where and how do they buy? What language do they use? Is there actually a market for what we're trying to sell?
Then we look at the commercial realities.
Where will it be sold?
How will it get there?
What does the retailer need? What pack sizes make sense? What are the margins, production constraints and compliance requirements?
Sometimes we know the answers. Sometimes we need research, testing or conversations with customers to find them.
Know the destination.
Do the homework.
Then decide how to get there.

The original brief doesn't always contain the answer.
You might come to us for packaging and discover the bigger opportunity is positioning, format or route to retail.
You might come to us for an identity and discover the experience itself needs to change.
The Kent came to us for a rebrand. We ended up helping rebuild the pub; shaping interiors and room flow, sourcing artwork, negotiating with suppliers, procuring signage and making sure the physical experience delivered the position we'd created.
When the evidence tells us there's a better route, we take it.

↳ Case Study
We came to brand the pub. We ended up building it.
The Kent began as a brand repositioning project.
But once we'd identified the opportunity to become an elevated but approachable neighbourhood pub, putting a new identity on the old experience wasn't going to be enough.
So the brief changed.
We helped shape the interiors and exteriors, room flow, signage and physical experience. We sourced and procured pieces, negotiated with suppliers and selected artwork that connected the venue to its local community while making commercial sense.
The commercial idea became the filter for decisions well beyond the identity.
↳ Our Work
Find the opportunity, get clear on where the brand can win, then build around it.

↳ How We Work
Some clients come to us with a product and a problem.
Others already have strategy, research and positioning and need packaging, communications or marketing to bring it to life. And sometimes one simple deliverable grows into something much bigger.
You don’t have to start at Step 1.
The depth of investigation, collaboration and strategic work depends on what the project needs, what you already know and what you’re prepared to invest.
We’ll work that out together.
↳ Collaboration
Tell us where your brand is now, where you're trying to take it and what's getting in the way.
“They took the time to understand our business, the challenges we were facing and what we wanted to achieve.
They helped us clarify our brand direction and develop a stronger, more consistent presence that better reflects the quality of our products.”
